BREAKING: Tarleton University Student Dies at SRSU Rodeo

PHOENIX - A student from Tarleton University died from injuries sustained during Thursday night’s rodeo hosted by Sul Ross State University.

Alejandra Franco was about to begin the breakaway event when she was thrown from her horse, according to Sul Ross student Devin Winters, who was at the rodeo.

“In honor of Alejandra Franco, the weekend’s events will continue as scheduled, and counselors will be present to support athletes,” Sul Ross University said in a statement.
