A Little Taste of Thailand in Alpine

By Guadalupe Perez-Mata, Skyline Social Media Manager

ALPINE - From Marfa to Alpine, Line Thai has created a whole new buzz among the residents by feeding the hungry mouths of the Alpine crew and college students alike.

Judging from the lines at Line Thai alone, it has become one of the most popular local spots to eat. The service is quick, the food is fresh, and the price is hard to beat. Due to many of the restaurants in town having inconsistent and strange hours, Line Thai has most of them beat.

The menu has a variety of options from mini crispy wontons to multiple Tofu and vegan options. Everything comes in big portions making it well worth the money.

The mini crispy wontons were one of my favorite appetizers to munch on because of the crispness on the outside and the soft flavorful inside. The wontons are described as fried chicken and cilantro wontons that are served with an in house-made sweet and sour sauce with peanuts.

The veggie rolls, which are fried spring rolls with cabbage, onion, carrot, green beans and various spices, are just as delectable! Both appetizers are served just as shown on the menu.

I’m a simple person when it comes to food, but the chicken fried rice was so delicious and moist that I just had to go back the next day for another order.

The prices are also very reasonable, ranging from $3 for an extra portion of Thai Jasmine white rice to $13 for any of the noodle or soup/curry entrees.

These guys are here to stay, and I know that they are loving the attention in Alpine. You won’t want to miss out on Line Thai!
